How to create a new company in Sage 50 Accounts.

Description

If you have a multi-company licence on Sage 50 Accounts, you can create more than one company.

Resolution

Create a new company

  1. Log in to an existing company in Sage 50 Accounts.
  2. Go to File then select New then Company. If prompted, enter your Password and press OK. 
▼ No option for New Company?
  • You don't have a multi-company licence
  • The maximum number of companies has been reached
  • You're logged on as a user who doesn't have access to this option
  1. On the Add a Company window, select Create.
  2. If required, select Change to alter where the new company creates the data files.
  3. Browse to the required location, then press OK.
  4. Select Continue, complete the details, then selectCreate. 
  5. Enter your logon details for this company, then select Log on. 

By default your logon name is MANAGER.
