Printing performance in Azure Virtual Desktop when using Redirected printers

It has been noted that there are differences in printing performance when using redirected printers in the Azure Virtual Desktop software used for Sage 200 Professional deployed in Azure.

NOTE: This isn't specific to Sage software, the same behaviour is seen in Microsoft applications.

An example of this would be producing the Sales Ledger list of accounts report.

Producing the report in the software and previewing within the Sage 200 Professional application is produced in the normal time.

When selecting to Print the report and selecting to Export to PDF on the virtual machine, this is within expected performance.

When selecting to Print using the Export to PDF (redirected), the time taken to export is significantly increased.

This is not something that Sage can amend and is a by product of the Microsoft technology used.
