Bank feeds update for Sage 200 customers in Ireland

Created on  | Last modified on  Highlight Matches

Summary

Due to Brexit, any 3rd party accessing bank feeds needs an EU regulator authorisation to provide bank feeds for UK & Ireland banks. Authorisations issued by the regulator will not be valid after 31 December 2020. Sage uses a third party in the UK & Ireland, which connects to several key financial institutions, to provide feeds. There has been a delay in our feed partners receiving approval for an EU license from regulators. As a result, there will be a temporary disruption to a small number of our customers' automated bank feed capability effective 1 January 2021. Effective from 12 March 2021 we’re pleased to announce that our automated Bank feeds capability is now active, Sage 200 customers in Ireland may be prompted to log in to their online banking service.

Description

After the end of the Brexit transition period on 31 December 2020 there has been a temporary disruption to our automated Bank Feed capability for customers in Ireland. Once the Bank feeds service is available, you may be prompted to log in to your online banking service the first time you try to download your bank feeds transactions.

If this occurs, you should simply follow the on-screen bank prompts to log back in to your online banking. Once this is complete, you can then download Bank feed transactions as normal.

NOTE: If you manually posted bank transactions while the bank feeds service was unavailable, for help with dealing with possible duplicate transactions, take a look at our quick guide >
