If you see Check Data errors or warnings when you open your software, stop using it until you resolve them. Your data can be corrupt and further issues will happen.
Any issues with your data show in the File Maintenance Problems Report as errors, warnings, or comments:
TIP: In Sage 50 Accounts v28, clicking Run repair starts an automatic repair. If the File Maintenance Problems Report shows no errors, you can continue as normal. Corruption banners or messages will disappear after your next scheduled backup.


If you're already logged into your company, to check your data:
Alternatively, if you see one of the messages above, click Run repair or Check data and view errors.
To fix any errors that appear, follow the fix any errors section.
Your software can fix some errors automatically, while others need your action. Depending on the errors, the File Maintenance Problems Report shows one of three windows:
Fix your errors window - This window appears if the software can attempt to fix the errors automatically.
Your next steps window - This appears when your errors are unrepairable. 
Additional steps window - This appears when there are some manual steps needed to fix your data.
