ERROR: 'This data was last used with version...'

Summary

How to resolve this error when opening company data in Sage 50 Accounts.

Description

When you open the software, the following message can appear:

'This data was last used with version <data version> of Sage Accounts. You are currently using version <software version>. You must update this version of Sage Accounts before accessing the data. Would you like to check for updates now?'

When you click to check for updates, you see the message:

'No automatic updates found for <data version>.'

This message appears when a newer Sage 50 Accounts version last used the company data, and the update isn’t available via auto-update.

Resolution

To resolve this, update Sage 50 Accounts to the version stated in your error message. For the latest version, visit our Installation Help Centre.

NOTE: All installations must be on the same version and build of Sage 50 Accounts. Once you’ve installed the update on this computer, you also have to install it on other computers that access this data.
