How to change the email body text of a document

How to edit the text that Sage 50 Payroll and Sage 50 Accounts include when you email a document.

Description

When you email a document from your software, the email body contains information about the attached file.

Using Report Designer, you can choose to customise this wording.

Resolution

To get started, select either Reports or Pre-Update Reports as required for the report you want like to edit.

  1. Browse to the report you want to edit.
  2. Right-click the report to amend, then select Edit.
  3. Select Reports, then Email Settings.
  4. Replace the existing wording with the text you want the recipient to see.
  5. Select OK.
  6. Select File then Save As.
  7. Enter a new file name then select Save.
  8. Select File then Exit.

When you next email the document, your software uses the new wording that you entered as the body of the email.
