Created on  | Last modified on

Summary

From 01/01/21, after the Brexit transition period ends, one of the changes is that businesses will need an Economic Operator Registration and Identification (EORI) number to continue importing or exporting goods between the EU and the UK.

Description

Resolution

To enter an EORI number into Sage 200 follow these instructions:

  • Sage 200 Professional users go to Accounting System Manager > Settings > Company Details.
  • Sage 200 Standard / Education users go to Settings > Organisational and Financial > Company Details.

NOTE: Applicable to Sage 200 Professional Summer 2019 or above only. For older versions of Sage 200 Professional, you could add your EORI number to layouts using a text box, further information can be found here

UK Only - If you're dealing with EU customs then you'll need an EU EORI number. Get this from the customs authority in the EU country you first conduct trade with or that you request a customs decision from. Sage 200 only provisions for one EORI number so we would recommend in circumstances where the second number needs to be displayed that it is added to the relevant layout using a text box. further information on adding a text box to a layout can be found via the following links, Sage 200 ProfessionalSage 200 Standard\Education.  EORI numbers are a requirement on commercial invoices, Sage 200 doesn't provide the functionality to produce commercial invoicing, further information can be found here

UK Only - For further information or to apply for an EORI Number, visit the HMRC website.

ROI Only For further information or to apply for an EORI Number, visit the ROS website.
