Instead of offering its own free software for Making Tax Digital (MTD), HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) provide the Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) that commercial software developers can use to develop a range of applications to enable businesses to keep digital records and integrate with HMRC systems.
