Check your data while others are still working

It's important to run the Check data option regularly, but we know it's not always convenient to ask all users to log out of the software while you do this. In Sage 50 Accounts, you can check data while other users are still working in the company. This feature is available with a multi-user licence.

1. Click Settings, then click Company Preferences.
2. Click the Parameters tab, then ensure Enable check data and backup with users logged in is selected.
   If this option is not available, you should check and re-enter your serial number and activation key in Tools > Activation > Upgrade program.
3. Click OK.

That's it, you now just check your data as you normally would, but you don't need to ask users to log out first.

If you're using Sage 50 Accounts v28 or above, why not go a step further and simply automate your check data so it runs in the background.

NOTE: When the check data starts, Sage 50 Accounts briefly pauses other users while taking a quick data snapshot, then uses this to check your data.
