Form Launching on Terminal Server won't launch

Description

Ensure your listener and service are configured to launch in multi-mode. For further to information on configuring form launching for multi-mode can be found here.

NOTE: Please Note: As of the 2017 R2 release of Sage 200 CRM, Form Launching on RDS/TS environments are no longer supported.

Resolution

Test to determine if issue is with the Service on the Terminal Server:

  1. Open services.msc on the Terminal Server and stop the Sage Task Launcher Service.
  2. Open Task Manager on Terminal Server.
  3. In the details tab end all instances of the Sage.TaskLauncher.Listener.exe and tlservice.exe.
  4. Restart the Sage Task Launcher service.
  5. Open Task Manager and ensure the tlservice.exe has started and that there is one instance of the Sage.TaskLauncher.Listener.exe.
  6. If that instance of the listener is running on 8089 then the service is running on 8080 and users should be able to launch forms successfully.
