This guide show you how to install the P60 update for Sage Instant Payroll.

Description

This is the final update for Sage Instant Payroll to enable you to produce P60s, after this you won't be able to use Sage Instant Payroll to process from the 2022/23 tax year.

At Sage, we regularly review the software and services we offer UK businesses, to ensure we are investing in the right solutions for our customers, so we can continue to deliver the very best innovation and support to you.

As part of this review, the decision was made that, from 5 April 2022, we’ll no longer be supporting or issuing updates for Sage Instant Payroll. 

Don't worry though, after you've completed year end, we'll help you move to a new and improved payroll software, ready for the new tax year.

Resolution

Before you install

You should backup your data then make a note of where your current software is installed and check the version of Instant Payroll you're currently using.

  1. Within Sage Instant Payroll, click Tools then click My Instant Payroll.
  2. Check that the version number.
  3. Make a note of the application path.

Download and install v19

  1. Close Sage Instant Payroll and all other software.
  2. Click the update link below:
  3. To begin the installation, double-click the downloaded file.
  4. Click Accept Licence.
  5. Check the path is the same as the application path you noted earlier, then click Yes.
    • If the path isn't the same, click No then Yes and browse to the path you noted, click Payroll.exe, then click Open.
  6. Click Finish.
