Check your HMRC submissions

To avoid having to correct errors at year end, it's important that you view and reconcile the figures that you send HMRC in your full payment submission (FPS) and employer payment summary (EPS) each period, and check this against your data in Sage 50cloud Payroll.

You can reconcile your HMRC values using the FPS viewer and some reconciliation reports, so you can be confident about what you submit each period.

Check your version

Sage 50cloud Payroll v27.00 was released earlier in February and includes several new features and improvements, however we will release a further update early in March for legislation changes.

Modify your antivirus software to avoid conflicts with Sage 50cloud Payroll

When you download or install Sage 50cloud Payroll software, if you have antivirus software on your computer you may get a detection error, where a Sage file has been quarantined.

Check your My Sage login

In order to download your new tax year software update smoothly, we recommend that you check that you're able to login to your My Sage account ahead of the update being released. You can also use your My Sage account to submit queries online.

Review your e-submission settings

During the year end, you need to make a submission to HMRC to let them know that you're finished in the 2020/21 tax year. Now's a good time to review your e-Submission settings to make sure that your details are up to date.
