If you receive this error, your amended company tax return start and end dates may not match the period dates expected by HMRC. You need to make sure the period start and end dates for your amended return are the same as those used on the original one.
If the dates expected by HMRC are correct, you should contact HMRC's online services help desk on 0300 2003 600.
