Summary

How to add and remove comments on your employee's payslips in Sage 50 Payroll.

Description

If you'd like to add a personal touch to your employees' payslips, you can add a comment. For example, to wish your employees a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Resolution

Add a comment

  1. On the Employee List, double-click the required employee.
  2. Go to the Analysis tab.
  3. Enter your comment in the Payslip Comment box.
  4. Select Save then Close.

Payslip comments that you add here appear on printed payslip layouts, and in the payslip PDF in online payslips portals.

 TIP: Payslip comments don't appear on the payslip preview in online payslip portals. They only appear on the downloaded payslip PDF file. 


Remove a comment

  1. On the Employee List, double-click the required employee.
  2. Go to the Analysis tab.
  3. Remove the comment in the Payslip Comment box.
  4. Select Save then Close.

Add a comment to more than one employees' payslip

  1. On the Employee List, click the required employees.
  2. On the menu bar, click Tasks and then Global Changes.
  3. Click Electronic Documents then Set Payslip Comment.
  4. Enter your comment then press OK.
  5. A message confirms the number of employees included. Check this is correct and click Yes.
  6. Click OK.

Remove a comment from more than one employees' payslip

  1. Follow steps 1 to 2 in the previous section.
  2. Click Electronic Documents then click Clear Payslip Comments.
  3. Click Yes then OK.

Some of the default reports in your software already include comments. to view a list of these reports.
