Below are some of the most commonly asked questions regarding the Sales, Marketing and Service module for Sage 200.

How does Sales, Marketing and Service connect to Sage 200?

When data is entered into Sales, Marketing and Service, where necessary, the data is passed through a gateway and then in to Sage 200. The settings for the gateway are controlled by various open source files and via the Administration area within Sales, Marketing and Service.

How many installations are needed to get Sales, Marketing and Service up and running?

Three installations are required in total...

  • Sage 200 Extra or Sage 200c Professional
  • Sage CRM
  • Sage CRM Connector

Note: The Sage CRM installer must be used rather than the Sage 200 CRM installation. Sage 200 CRM is not supported for use with Sage CRM Connector.

How do you uninstall the Sage CRM Connector?

When the installation of the Sage CRM Connector is complete, no entry is made in the Programs and Features area of the Control Panel as the installation merely makes changes to the existing installation of Sage CRM. To remove the Connected CRM elements of the software, the following steps would be required:

  • Delete the Enbu folder at C:\Program Files(x86)\Sage\CRM\CRM\WWWRoot\CustomPages.
  • Remove the 'Enbu Products Configuration' and 'Sage CRM Connector' options from the Administration area.

Can you make backups of the Connector before making changes to it?

You can make changes to the way the Sage CRM Connector works by making amendments to certain open source files. We strongly recommend taking a copy of the folder that contains these files before you make any changes to its contents. The folder is called S200 and is typically found at C:\Program Files (x86)\Sage\CRM\CRM\WWWRoot\CustomPages\Enbu\Framework.

Does the Sage CRM Connector pass data both ways in real time?

Updating data in real time bi-directionally is only available when using Sage 200 Extra 2016 or Sage 200c Professional. For details of how to set this up, please refer to Ask Sage article .

What information is included in the Connector by default?

Only customer records from Sage 200 are included in the Connector by default.
