Summary
Using TASBooks, you can create records for each of your sales staff. This gives you greater analysis of your sales, costs, and calculate commission.
Resolution
Add a salesperson record
- Click Sales Orders, then click Sales Persons, then click Maintain Salespersons.
- To set up a new salesperson, enter a new code and name. Alternatively, to edit or view an existing salesperson's record, press F2 and select the relevant salesperson.
- Click the General Info tab, then enter or amend the following information:
Area Covered Thr area covered by this salesperson, for example, North East. Country Covered The country covered by this salesperson, for example, UK. Address The salesperson's address. Commission Rate The commission rate applicable to this salesperson. Commission Based on Sales / Commission Based on Margins Whether commission is based on total sales or profit margins. - Click Save, then click Cancel.
The Sales Summary and Sales / Cost Summary tabs display the selected salesperson's sales analysis for the current and previous periods. You can drill down on each entry to view the transactions which make up the values displayed. Once you've drilled down on a value, you can use the options at the bottom of the Period for Salesperson window to filter the information displayed.
To print salespersons reports
Salespersons report
This report shows an analysis of sales.
- Click Sales Orders, then click Sales Persons, then click Salesperson Report.
- Enter the starting and ending salesperson.
- Choose the date range you require.
- Select the type of information you want to display.
- Click Print.
- Click Cancel.
Commission report
This report shows, for the selected salesperson and date range, the calculated commission amount and percentage. You can choose to display the details of the relevant invoices, or totals only.
- Click Sales Orders, then click Sales Persons, then click Commission Report.
- Enter the starting and ending salesperson.
- Choose the date range you require.
- Select the type of information you want to display.
- Click Print.
- Click Cancel.
