Summary

This article provides a possible reason for a 3312 rejection message from HMRC.

Description

When filing to the revenue from Sage Corporation Tax you can sometimes get the following submission error:

Failed CT submission reported error 3312: Name of Director signing Directors Report (uk-direp:DirectorSigningReport) is missing.

Cause

This can be caused by attaching your computation (or other file) in error when attempting to attach your accounts to the submission.

Resolution

To resolve, resubmit selecting the correct iXBRL accounts document. It should be called something like this:

Final – Business name Company Accounts 20141231.html

The Tagged computation will look like this:

Final – Business name 20141231.html

Please make sure the XBRL file being attached is the HMRC XBRL file, and not the XBRL file produced to file to Companies House via Reports and Efiling.

Note: HMRC and Companies House require a different set of tags to be applied and you must produce separate XBRL files for each body.
