Full payment submission (FPS) sent but Last FPS date not updating

Summary

What to do if the Last FPS column doesn't update in Sage 50 Payroll.

Description

When you submit an FPS, the last FPS date may not update. This can happen when you submit an earlier year update before you submit an FPS.

Resolution

Run as administrator

This issue can occur due to the software not being run as administrator. To resolve this:

  1. Right-click the Sage 50 Payroll shortcut then click Properties.
  2. Click the Compatibility tab then select the Run this program as an administrator check box.
  3. Click Apply, then click OK.

Submit a dummy FPS

Next, Submit a dummy Full Payment Submission for the affected employees.
