Full payment submission (FPS) sent but Last FPS date not updating

Summary

What to do if the Last FPS column doesn't update in Sage 50 Payroll.

Description

When you submit an FPS, in some circumstances the last FPS date doesn't update.

Resolution

Run as administrator

This issue can occur due if you don't run the software as administrator. To resolve this:

  1. Right-click the Sage 50 Payroll shortcut then click Properties.
  2. Click the Compatibility tab then select the Run this program as an administrator checkbox.
  3. Click Apply, then click OK.

If the issue persists, continue to the next section.


Check employee start date

Check that any affected employees' start dates are correct. If a start date is after the process date, your software doesn't include that employee in the FPS.

Update the employee's start date in their employee record, then submit the FPS for them as normal.


Submit a dummy FPS

Next, Submit a dummy Full Payment Submission for the affected employees.
