Profit reports in Sage 50 Accounts

This guide explains what reports are available in Sage 50 Accounts to show you what profit you've made.

Description

If you process your sales within Sage 50 Accounts Professional or Client Manager, there are several reports that show you what profit you've made. You can group your profit values by invoice, customer, product, product category and project.

Resolution



Profit by invoice

  1. On the navigation bar click Invoices and credits then click Reports.
  2. In the left pane click Invoice profit then click the report you want to use
  3. Click Preview, enter any required criteria, then click OK.

Profit by customer

  1. On the navigation bar click Invoices and Credits then click Reports.
  2. In the left pane click Invoice profit then click the report you want to use
  3. Click Preview, enter any required criteria, then click OK.


Profit by product

  1. On the navigation bar click Products and services then click Reports.
  2. In the left pane click Product profit then click the report you want to use

     

  3. Click Preview, enter any required criteria, then click OK.

Profit by product category

The Stock Period Profit Totals By Category report shows profit values grouped by the product category. For each product sold it shows:

  • Quantity sold.
  • Total sales.
  • Total cost.
  • Total profit.
  • Profit margin - This is the profit as a percentage of sales.

This report is run for whole months rather than by a date range.

To run the report:

  1. On the navigation bar click Products and services then click Reports.
  2. In the left pane click Product profit then click Stock Period Profit Totals By Category.
  3. Click Preview, enter any required criteria, then click OK.

Profit by project

The Profit Report by Customer and Project - Excluding Committed Costs report groups projects together by the customer account and shows the cost and net billed to date for each project, plus the profit based on net billed minus costs.

  1. On the navigation bar click Projects then click Reports.
  2. In the left pane click Project profit then click Profit Report by Customer and Project - Excluding Committed Costs.
  3. Click Preview, enter any required criteria, then click OK.
  4. Click Preview, enter any required criteria, then click OK.
