Summary

Information on this error affecting Sage 50 Accounts, Sage 50 Payroll or Sage 200 when emailing documents via Microsoft Outlook.

Description

When you send documents to email via Microsoft Outlook using the 'Save to mailbox' setting, you may see the error:

'Undeliverable email'

This is due to a caching issue in Microsoft Outlook.

Resolution

As a workaround, within Microsoft Outlook, select the Use Cached Exchange Mode check box.

TIP: This involves making changes to your Microsoft Outlook settings. Sage cannot advise on any Outlook issues which may result from changing these settings. If in any doubt, please refer to your IT Administrator.

  1. Select File then Account Settings.
  2. Select Account Name then Sync Settings.
  3. Select the Use Cached Exchange Mode check box.
NOTE: If this checkbox isn't available, contat your IT administrator to enable it.
  4. Click Next then click Finish.

Alternatively, when sending emails from Sage Accounts / Sage Payroll or Sage 200, use the Send emails immediately option. This sends the emails immediately without saving them to your Microsoft Outlook folders:

  1. Select the report to edit then select Edit.
  2. In the Report menu select Email Settings.
  3. In the Email Settings tab select Sending options.
  4. Select Send emails immediately then OK.
  5. Select File then Save.
  6. Select File then Exit.
