Default Outlook signature settings may be ignored

Summary

When emailing documents from Sage Accounts, the default Outlook signature may be overridden when it shouldn't be, or when you want to overwrite the default signature it doesn't.

Resolution

If you don't want to override the default Outlook signature

If a layout is used on more than one computer and the layout has different default signatures, you must ensure the default signatures have the same name on each computer.

  1. Click Settings, then click Email Defaults.
  2. Choose the relevant tab, for example, Invoice.
  3. In the Overwrite Default Outlook Signature drop-down, choose the email signature that is set as default in Outlook.
  4. Click Apply.
  5. Select the relevant check box, for example, Invoice, then click OK,.
  6. Click OK.
If you want to override the default Outlook signature

If you want to override the Outlook signature, change the default signature in Outlook to the required signature.
