Resolution

NOTE: The message could refer to director1, director2, etc.

Check for retired/resigned directors set as accounts signatories
    1. From the Quick Links menu, choose Directors.
    2. Use the drop down menu to review each director in the database.
    3. Find any directors that have a resigned date entered.
    4. Remove the tick from the accounts signatory box for any retired/resigned directors.

NOTE: This issue could also be caused by blank entries in the directors database. If there is a blank director entered in the database then select the blank director and select delete.

Now you have corrected the Directors database you must also check whether the resigned/retired director has been included in an iXBRL tag in any other part of the accounts.

Check directors report signatory for retired/resigned directors
    1. From the Quick Links menu, choose Reportpads then Directors Report and select the Signatory reportpad.
    2. Make sure any iXBRL tagging information is not included for one of the retired/resigned directors. E.g. If director 1 has retired/resigned then director 1 must not be included in this reportpad.
    3. Edit if necessary.

You must now regenerate the iXBRL accounts.

    Sage Assisted Tagging
    1. From Financial Statements, generate the iXBRL accounts to launch Sage Assisted Tagging.

If you have changed anything because of the information in this Ask Sage then you must follow steps 12-14. Otherwise, go straight to step 15.

    1. Choose Overwrite and create new. Sage Assisted Tagging wil launch.
    2. Work through the steps on the Assisted tab.

Make sure you do not use the resigned/retired director as a dimension on any of the tags you use.

    1. When completed attempt to submit the iXBRL accounts again.

If you have not changed anything in Sage APA, then the resigned director must have been used as a dimension on one of the tags in Sage Assisted Tagging.

    1. Choose Re-open previous file. Sage Assisted Tagging wil launch.

All your work in Sage Assisted Tagging will be saved. You will need to review the saved tags and check to see whether the retired/resigned director has been set as a dimension on any tags. You will not need to check all the tags in the document, only tags which have been added using Sage Assisted Tagging and relate to entity officers, such as related party transactions or transactions with directors.

    1. Choose the Advanced tab.
    2. Tagged items will be highlighted in green, click to highlight so you can review the tag details.
    3. Click Change details to see all the tag details and click View/edit all to see dimension information.
    4. Click Confirm details to save any changes.
    5. When you have finished click Validate & generate iXBRL, to create a new set of iXBRL accounts.
