Within Options, it's easy to set your preferences to control how some windows display in your software.
To access the Options window:
| Show Tutorial Options | Shows software tutorial simulations, accessed from the Help menu. |

| Hide Wizard Options | Hides all wizards in your software. |
| Show gridlines | Shows grid lines for ledger information displayed in a table. |
| Allow columns to be hidden and resized | Activate the Configurable Columns functionality, you can then resize, hide and display extra data columns in many areas of the software. |

| Use Manager account settings for column display | Set your column displays to be the same as those set up by the Manager user name. |
| Use default settings for column display | Turns off the Configurable Columns functionality you can't then hide or display additional data columns. You can still resize columns while you're in an option, but the columns then return to their default sizes when you close the window. |
| Ledger | The ledger the line applies to. |

| Group name | The name of the group when the options are grouped. |
| Default task | The default task that opens when selecting this group. |
For certain ledgers, where there's a drop-down, you can configure the default task.
TIP: To reset to default settings, click Reset.
| F11 | Enter the path to the software you want to run when you press the F11 key. |

| F12 | Enter the path to the software you want to run when you press the F12 key. |
| Configure F12 as Hide Key | If you select this checkbox, you can press F12 at any time to minimise your software. If you select the Configure F12 as Hide Key checkbox, this overrides any other settings you've entered for the F12 function key. |
| List selection style | Choose the selection style you prefer when working with module lists. Find out more in our guide to Selecting multiple records. |
| Show the Company List on start up | Shows the Company List when opening Sage 50 Accounts. You can't change this option if you have more than one company. |

These settings are specific to the computer you are on. If you change the colours for one company, the same changes are made on other companies when opened on the same computer.
| Colour theme | From the drop-down list, choose the required colour theme of the software. |

| Ignore custom colours | Select this option to ignore any colours on all modules. |

| Customers | Choose a colour to apply to the Customers module. This colour is applied to every other row. |
| Suppliers | Choose a colour to apply to the Suppliers module. This colour is applied to every other row. |
| Nominal codes | Choose a colour to apply to the Nominal codes module. This colour is applied to every other row. |
| Bank accounts | Choose a colour to apply to the Bank accounts Accounts module. When you open Bank accounts this colour is applied to every other row. |
| Products and services | Choose a colour you want to apply to the Products and services module. When you open Products and services this colour is applied to every other row. |
| Projects | Choose a colour you want to apply to the Projects module. When you open Projects this colour is applied to every other row. |
| Invoices and credits | Choose a colour you want to apply to the Invoices and credits module. When you open Invoices and credits this colour is applied to every other row. |
| Sales orders | Choose a colour you want to apply to the Sales orders module. When you open Sales orders this colour is applied to every other row. |
| Purchase orders | Choose a colour you want to apply to the Purchase orders module. When you open Purchase orders this colour is applied to every other row. |
| Fixed assets | Choose a colour you want to apply to the Fixed assets module. When you open Fixed assets this colour is applied to every other row. |
| Transactions | Choose a colour you want to apply to the Transactions module. When you open Transactions this colour is applied every other row. |
The View options are company and Sage user specific.
