The options available to you if you need to install the software on more than one computer.

Description

The following products can only be installed on one computer, unless you're entitled to use Remote Data Access:

  • Sage 50 Accounts Essentials single-user
  • Sage 50 Accounts single-user
  • Sage 50 Accounts Professional single-user

 

Installing the software on more than one computer without entitlement to use Remote Data Access breaches the software licence agreement and Sage's copyright.

Purchase one licence for each computer where you want to install the software. To upgrade your licence, leave your details and we'll be in touch.

 

Resolution

NOTE:

Where an additional installation licence is required, you must purchase one for each computer on which you need to install the software.

 

Required use Sage 50 Accounts Essentials Sage 50 Accounts Standard Sage 50 Accounts Professional
Use Sage Accounts including an entitlement to Remote Data Access.
A Remote Data Access user can install the software on one additional device to share Sage Accounts data through Remote Data Access.
Install the software on another computer, in the same or a different location, and use Backup and Restore to move the data.
Purchase an additional installation licence.
Purchase an additional user licence.
Run on a network, with the software installed on more than one computer.
Upgrade to a multiuser licence.
Upgrade to a two or more user licences.
Purchase an additional user licence.
Install the software on a laptop or another computer as a backup.
Purchase an additional installation licence.
Purchase an additional user licence.
Process different sets of company data at more than one location.
Not permitted.
Purchase an additional company licence.

TIP:

Accountant users who connect through Remote Data Access (RDA) and use Client Manager do not use a Sage 50 Accounts user licence. This means a customer with a single-user licence can work in Sage 50 Accounts at the same time as their accountant.
