Sage Practice Solution: Formatted reports support

Sage Practice Solution contains formatted reports that will help accountancy practices produce their management reports. These reports replicate those that were originally available within Sage Time and Fees..


The formatted reports use Sage Report Designer which means that if you use Sage 50 Accounts, you may already be familiar with this.

This article contains the following sections:


  • Default formatted reports - This section lists the new formatted reports.
  • Support provided - Although you can use Sage Report Designer to tailor these new reports to suit your business, we only provide support for specific areas. This section explains which areas of the default reports that we can help you to amend.

    Note: If you are experienced with Sage Report Designer you can customise the reports even further, however the Sage Practice Solution support team cannot help beyond the levels stated in this article.

Default formatted reports

In Sage Practice Solution v1.5 and above, the following formatted reports are available from Letters and Reports > Formatted Reports.

Create a copy of a report

You cannot amend the default reports, so if you want to make any changes you must create a copy.
Edit text on reportIf required, you can change the text on the report and column headings.
Change font and sizeIf required, you can change the font and font size on the report and column headings.
Remove unwanted columnsIf required, you can remove columns from a report.
Move columns on the screenIf required, you can move the columns on a report left, right, up or down.
Change the name of a report fileIf required, you can change the file names of the non-default reports.
Change the name of a reportIf required, you can change the report name in Sage Practice Solution.
Rearrange the ordering of the columnsIf required, you can swap the order of the columns.
Restoring a default reportIf required, we can help you to restore a report to its default status.
