Sage Accounts - SData

Sage 50 Accounts uses a method of integrating with other applications called SData.

To locate the SData Settings

• Click Tools then click Internet Options then click SData Settings

NOTE: If you access your data via a mapped drive, the SData information doesn't display. To see this information, the data should be accessed using a UNC path.

• Since SData is used to link Sage 50 Accounts to other applications, it's only supported by your software developer
• The F1 Help system provides instructions for publishing account information on the web. This information has been included in error. The feature hasn't been fully implemented

Sage 50 Accounts v30 64-bit

As the SData Settings will not appear in Tools>Internet options, you'll need to follow this workaround.

1. Press the Windows key and type cmd.
2. Right-click the Command Prompt app, and click Run as administrator.
3. Enter the following:

"HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Sage\Line 50\SettingsFolder" /d C:\ProgramData\Sage\Accounts\2024

 NOTE: The year will change with each version of Sage 50 Accounts. 

4. Restart the Sdata service.

To turn off or stop the SData services from running

NOTE: SData should only be turned off if you've errors in your PC Error Log. Don't disable SData if you use Sage 50 Mobile. 

1. Click Tools then click Internet Options.
2. Click SData Settings and clear the Sage 50 Accounts On checkbox, then click OK.
3. Click Start then Run and enter services.msc, then click OK.
4. Right-click Sage SData service, click Properties.
5. From the Startup type drop-down list, choose Disabled, click Apply, then click OK.
6. Click File then click Exit.
