Certain files and folders hide from view during searches or browsing in Windows Explorer.
Resolution
Windows 11
- Press the Windows key + E.
- Click View, then hover over Show click Options.
- Then click Hidden items.
- Check your settings are as follows:
Advanced settings Check box Don't show hidden files, folders, or drives Clear Show hidden files, folders, and drives Select Hide extensions for known file types Clear Hide protected operating system files (Recommended) Clear - A warning message will show when you clear this check box - click Yes to this warning. - Click Apply then click OK.

- Click Change folder and search options.
- Click the View tab.
- Check your settings are as follows:
