When you enter values such as account references or stock record references, the ActiveSearch Popup finds the closest matches to what you type and displays them in a popup list for you to choose from. It also shows a popup list of recent entries as you enter details text in batch transactions. Let's take a look.
To see how this feature saves you time, let's look at an example.
In the Supplier Record window, in the A/C box, if you enter the first character of a supplier's account reference, the ActiveSearch Popup lists all suppliers beginning with that character. When you type in the second character, the list is narrowed down to all suppliers beginning with those two letters.
When you spot the reference you need, simply select it instead of typing in the rest of the reference.
TIP: In Sage 50 Accounts v28.1 and above, the ActiveSearch Popup excludes records that you've flagged as inactive.

Your software stores the last 32 unique entries you've made in the Details box for each transaction type.
If one of these entries contains an error, it's easy to remove the incorrect entry from the list.
The incorrect entry is removed from your ActiveSearch Popup list.
