Using the phone option you can automatically dial a telephone number from within Sage Accounts. To use this feature, you must have the following:
The phone option is available in both the Customers and Suppliers modules. You must enter the telephone numbers using the recommended international format.
The international format is +CC(AC)NUMBER, where CC is the country code, AC is the area code and NUMBER is the local phone number.
For example, if a customer's telephone number is 0191 294 3000, enter it as +44(0191)2943000.

| If you dial a number to access an outside line, what is it? | Enter the relevant numbers required to access an outside line. |

| To access an outside line for local calls, dial: | Enter the relevant numbers required to access an outside line for local calls, for example 9. |
| To access an outside line for long-distance calls, dial: | Enter the relevant numbers required to access an outside line for international calls, for example 52. |
| Location name | Enter a name for your current location. |

To dial a telephone number, from within the relevant record, click the dialler button to the right of the required telephone number.
The new call window appears, and Sage Accounts automatically tries to dial the telephone number. If there's no answer within 30 seconds, the modem drops the line and you need to redial.
