Error: 'Error 5100' when installing Sage 50 Accounts

When trying to install Sage 50 Accounts, you get the installation error: Error 5100.

TIP: Before following these steps below to resolve this error, try running the install as administrator - Right click on the downloaded update or full program file, then click Run as administrator. If the same installation error occurs, follow the steps below.

This error is due to a Microsoft .NET framework installation failure on your computer. This can be due to:

• Corrupt download or incomplete installation of Microsoft .NET Framework software.
• Corruption in Windows registry from a recent Microsoft .NET Framework-related software change.
• Another program maliciously or mistakenly deleted .Microsoft NET Framework-related files.
