Error: '1606 - Information in the accounts does not match the CT600'

How to resolve this error when using Sage Accounts Production or Sage Accounts Production Advanced, and Sage Corporation Tax.

Description

HMRC rejects the submission when the Company Registration Number (CRN) differs from the CRN in the CT600.
The error message states that the 'UKCompaniesHouseRegisteredNumber must match the RegistrationNumber in the CT600'.

This issue affects iXBRL submissions.

Resolution

  1. Open Sage Accounts Production and note the CRN.
  2. Open Sage Corporation Tax and check the CRN.
  3. Make sure the number matches exactly.
  4. Regenerate the iXBRL tagging file in both programs.

    NOTE: Give the new tagging file a distinct name to distinguish the file from the previously submitted file.

  5. In Sage Corporation Tax, re-tag the Corporation Tax submission.
  6. Select Online Filing, then select Start Again.
  7. Attach the new tagging file and submit again.
