Using Sage Report Designer, it's simple to move, resize or align the objects and fields that make up your document. Let's take a look at how to do this.
Don't worry, some of these steps may look quite technical but they're normally straightforward to follow.
Simply click and drag to resize or move the object.
NOTE: If you move an object this way, you may experience issues with a report or layout displaying or printing incorrectly. If this ever occurs, please contact our Report Design technical support team.
It' simple to align multiple times to match the alignment of an existing object. For example, a range of address variables.
Left | Aligns all objects horizontally to the left-hand side of the object first selected. |
---|---|
Right | Aligns all objects horizontally to the right-hand side of the object first selected. |
Centre | Aligns all objects horizontally to the centre of the object first selected. |
Top | Aligns all objects vertically to the top of the object first selected. |
Bottom | Aligns all objects vertically to the bottom of the object first selected. |
Middle | Aligns all objects vertically to the middle of the object first selected. |
Grid | The objects selected snap to the nearest grid corners when using the snap to grid setting. |
It's easy to align a variable within the size of its own object.
You may want to make several objects the same size as an existing object, this is straightforward to do.
Aligning an object so that it's aligned to the middle of the section it is currently in is quick to do. For example a document name.
