How to check if a tax code in Sage 50 Accounts is set up to be included in your VAT Return.
Description
When you run your VAT Return, only transactions with tax codes that are flagged to be included in the VAT Return are included. If you're unsure if a tax code is set up to be included, it's quick an easy to check. Let's do it now.
Resolution
To check which tax codes should be included in your VAT Return:
- Click Settings then click Configuration.
- Click the Tax Codes tab.
Click the relevant tax code and click Edit.
If the Include in VAT Return check box is selected, transactions using this code are included in the VAT Return.
