We recently contacted you about SQL Server 2025, which included a licence attachment for each of your customers.

We’ve identified an error in the attachment. This also applies to the licence attachment previously issued for SQL Server 2022.

The issue affects how licence quantities are displayed in the attachment.

What you need to do

You don’t need to do anything.

We won't send a revised licence attachment. Instead, we’re providing clarification on how to interpret the licence information shown in the attachment.

We'll also contact affected customers directly to explain the issue. If customers have questions about their licence information, they may contact you.

Understanding your licence

The attachment shows licence quantities incorrectly in the Core Licence section.

For SQL Server supplied with Sage 200:

• Each installation includes one Server Licence
• The Server Licence includes one Client Access Licence (CAL)
• Any additional licences are User Client Access Licences (CALs)

Example

The licence attachment states:

• Core Licence: 37 (Thirty Seven)

This means:

• Server Licence: 1 (includes 1 CAL)
• User Client Access Licences: 36 (Thirty Six)
