| | Edit a supplier invoice (PI) transaction |
| Description | The VAT scheme you use determines the steps to edit a supplier invoice. Answer the questions below for the correct steps based on what VAT scheme you use. NOTE: If you don't pay VAT, follow the same steps as for Standard VAT. |
| Resolution | Which VAT scheme are you using? - Select Settings then select Company Preferences and press the VAT tab.
- Check which VAT scheme appears under VAT Scheme box, then press OK.
Select what you're using below. Standard VAT Edit the invoice NOTE: You can only edit non-critical fields and the exchange rate on foreign transactions. To amend other critical fields, delete then re-enter the transaction. - Select Suppliers, select the required supplier then press Activity.
- Select the required transaction, then click Edit transaction.
To amend some fields, in Item Line Details you must select Edit, make the changes, then select Close. - Make the required changes, select Save then press Yes.

To amend any other critical field, delete then re-enter the transaction. Is the invoice outstanding or has it been paid? To check, select Transactions then identify the required transaction and check the Paid column. - If the Paid column shows as Y select Paid.
- If the Paid column shows as N select Outstanding.
Unallocate and edit the invoice Unallocate the invoice, then amend the transaction as required: - Select Customers and select the required customer then press Activity.
- Select the customer invoice, SI, you want to amend then press Unallocate transaction.
- Select Yes then press Edit transaction.
- Amend the transaction details as required.
To edit certain fields, you may have to press Edit.  - Once complete, select Save then Yes and then Close.
If required, you can now allocate the transactions again. Edit an outstanding invoice - Select Customers and select the required customer then press Activity.
- Select the customer invoice, SI, you want to amend then select Edit transaction.
- Amend the transaction details as required.
To edit certain fields, you may have to select Edit.  - Once complete, select Save then Yes and then Close.
Unallocate and edit the invoice Unallocate the invoice, then amend the transaction as required: - Select Customers and select the required customer then select Activity.
- Select the customer invoice, SI, you want to amend then press Unallocate transaction.
- Select Yes then click Edit transaction.
- Amend the transaction details as required.

If required, you can now allocate the transactions again. Is the outstanding invoice part-paid? To check, select Transactions then identify the required transaction and check the Amount Paid column. - If the Amount Paid column is equal to 0.00, select Outstanding.
- If the Amount Paid column is not equal to 0.00, select Part-paid.
Edit a non-critical field - Select Customers and select the required customer then press Activity.
- Highlight the customer invoice, SI, you want to amend then press Edit transaction.
- Amend the transaction details as required.
To edit certain fields, you may have to select Edit.  - Once complete, press Save then Yes and then Close.
