DRAFT: Change your business type for Income Tax setup
Description

Use this guide if your business type in Sage Accounting doesn't match the business you want to set up for Income Tax.

Use the correct business type before you connect Sage Accounting to HMRC. If the business type is wrong, the setup won't show the right business details.

For any existing businesses, your Chart of Accounts stays the same, but Sage clears all your tax categories. Sage Accounting re-links to the UK Property categories where possible when you next access the MTD Income Tax area.

After you change the business type, go back to Reports, then select Income Tax to continue setup.
