Submit pension data for a custom pension
Description

You can only submit your pension data directly through Sage Payroll if your provider is:

  • Nest
  • Peoples pension
  • Smart

Other providers require a manual process. This process is specific to the provider, but will be one of the methods listed below.

  1. Payroll And Pension Data Interface Standard (PAPDIS) file - You can generate this file after you've completed your pay run. You can then upload it to your providers pension portal.
  2. Provider specific template -  Your provider can ask you to fill in a file/template for you to upload to their website. You can generate a pension report from Sage, which will give you the figure you need to help you fill this in.
  3. Manually enter the figures on your provider portal - The pension report available in Sage will give you the required information. This will allow you to manually enter the figures into your provider portal. 

 NOTE: Speak with your pension provider to confirm which process they support, or for help uploading any file.

To run the pension report

The pension contributions report lists:

  • Each employee enrolled in the pension scheme
  • The employees' automatic enrolment status
  • Pensionable pay values
  • Qualifying earnings
  • Employer and employee pension contributions

To download the pension contributions report as either a PDF or a PAPDIS file:

  1. Select Pay Runs from the menu bar.
  2. Choose the relevant completed pay run.
  3. Under Pension submissions, select View pension contributions for this pay period.
  4. To generate a PDF report, select Download Report.
  5. To generate a PAPDIS file, select Export CSV.
