Sage 50 Accounts v31.1.424.0 - Update

We have identified an issue with the Sage 50 Accounts v31.1.424.0 build that occurs specifically during the installation process. When installing v31.1.424.0 as an update to v31.0, and you also have v30 or v29 installed separately on the same machine, you may encounter the following error:

• Error 1638: Package Sage 50 Accounts v31 Data Access Components x86 returned code 1638 (ERROR_PRODUCT_VERSION) Another version of this product is already installed. Installation of this version cannot continue. To configure or remove the existing version of this product, use Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel

We are actively working on a resolution and expect to have a new build of Sage 50 Accounts v31.1 released early next week. We will communicate further details and provide the new build as soon as it is available.

Workaround: If you wish to install v31.1.424.0, please uninstall v31 before proceeding with the installation.
