Communication: Sage 200 Professional – Licence Anomalies
Description

This communication was sent 31 July 2024.

Notice 24-OL | 31 Jul 2024

Hi everyone,

We identified an issue with a variety of Sage 200 Professional stock codes. Stock codes which no longer contain the Suite User, have been incorrectly adding one non-chargeable desktop user onto customers paid-for user entitlement.

The additional user entitlement is only visible in the Sage 200 licencing screen within the software on the customers installation. All Sage systems, show the correct paid for entitlement, as do all partner invoices.

What is happening?

Throughout the course of June and early July, we updated all affected stock codes to remove the additional user, with the update to the licence being made during the next product licence check.

Where a customer is querying their licenced user count, this may be the reason why. Partners can check their invoices to see the correct licensed number of users. Where a customer has been making use of the additional user, partners will need to place an order for this via the usual process.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and can confirm that we will not be seeking to retrospectively recover costs in this regard.
