The SOFA report shows charitable income and expenditure figures, broken down by fund type. To ensure your income and expenditure falls into the correct categories within this report. You need to allocate your profit and loss nominal codes to a SOFA category. 

Complete this process for each profit and loss nominal record. Don't assign SOFA categories against balance sheet nominal records, as this can affect your income and expenditure reports.  

Assign SOFA categories 

1. Go to Nominal codes and double-click the required Nominal Record.
2. On the Details tab, select the relevant category in the SOFA Category dropdown.
3. Press OK.
4. Press Save on the Nominal Record, then press Close.
