Edit a ledger account
Description

Any changes you make will update all previous transactions.

You can only edit the following existing ledger account details: 

  • Ledger name
  • Display name
  • Nominal code
  • Category
  • VAT rate
  • Visibility

NOTE:

You can't update the ledger name, category or asset fields on control accounts. Read more about Control accounts.  

Cause
Resolution
  1. From Settings, select Business Settings.
  2. Select Chart of Accounts.
  3. Select the ledger account you want to edit. You can filter by Category, Included in Chart or use Search. 
  4. In the Edit Ledger Account screen, edit or amend any available fields.
  5. Select Save.
