NOTE: This issue is only affecting users of ESET Smart Security who also have a 64-bit version of Sage 50 Accounts installed. Workaround You can configure ESET to allow the application to work as normal. To do this, you'll need to modify your settings: TIP: Your IT department or Admin user typically configures ESET. - Close Sage 50 Accounts, or the application you've encountered the issue in.
- Open ESET then click Setup.
- Click Advanced Setup.
- Click Web & Email.
- Change SSL/TLS from Automatic mode, to Interactive mode.
- Re-open Sage 50 Accounts, or the application you encountered the issue in, and try again.
IMPORTANT: After you've changed this in ESET, a series of popups from ESET will appear. Select the option to ignore these messages. After finishing your task, change your SSL/TLS mode back to Automatic. Find out more about the SSL/TLS Settings from ESET. If the issue persists after completing these steps, continue to the section below. Install the 32-bit SDO service. - Download the SDO installer using one of the links below.
Download the 32-bit SDO for v30.0 Download the 32-bit SDO for v30.1 - Open the downloaded .zip file and select Extract all.
- Click Extract.
- Once the extracted file opens, double-click the x86 folder.
- Double Sage50Accounts_SDO.
- Check the box to accept the licence agreement, then select Install.
- If you're prompted to allow the app to change your computer, select Yes or Allow.
- Once the installation is complete, select Finish.
TIP: You only need to install the SDO on the computer which holds your company data.
