Download your bank statement Log in to your online banking service and download the bank statement you want to import. We support BAI2, CAMT053, OFX, ASO, QIF, CSV, XLS(X) file formats. You can identify these files by one of the following extensions: BAI, XML, TXT, OFX, ASO, QBO, QFX, QIF, CSV, XLS, XLSX. Format your file If you're importing a CSV, XLS or XLSX file, it needs to contain specific headers. Open the file import guide for help with setting up your file or to download example files. You can find this in the import screen. Import your bank statement for the first time On your first time importing, we need to check a few extra details. Follow the steps below: - Go to Sole Trader.
- From Banking, select Actions on the relevant bank account.
- Select Import from bank statement.
- From the Source dropdown list, select the bank account that you want to upload your statement to.
- Drag and drop or select the file that you want to upload.
- Add a comment to help you identify the import later.
- Select Review transactions.
- Select the date order that your file uses for transactions.
- All your transactions show as either money in or money out. Verify that the values in the Amount column are correct.
- If the values are positive instead of negative, or vice versa, select Switch transaction types to correct them.
- Select Confirm import. When your import is complete, select Go back to Sage.
Once you've imported your transactions, they show in your Draft transactions. Import another bank statement If you've already imported a bank statement to this bank account, you don't need to review your transactions. Simply drag and drop your import file and select Import without review. Or you can still review your transactions if you want to. If your import file has changed format or file type, select Import settings to change your saved settings. |
