This communication was sent 24 February 2023. Notice 23-HP | 24 February 2023 Sage 200 Professional 2023 R1 is here!Hi everyone, We’re delighted to announce the release of Sage 200 Professional 2023 R1, which is also available via the Sage Provisioning Portal for Partner Cloud deployments. Aligned with our Sage Partner Cloud program for Sage 200 Professional, this release means new deployments will be on the 2023 R1 release only. However, this doesn’t automatically update existing customers already using the SPC product variant – to support you on these updates, we’re proud to introduce a simplified and automated process that you should now use to upgrade your Sage Partner Cloud customers. This will ensure our customers on Sage Partner Cloud can benefit from the new releases in a timely manner while remaining compliant with our product lifecycle policy. What's NewIn this release, we have introduced several of the most voted features by our customers from Sage Ideas Hub, as well as major improvements on some of our API endpoints and enhanced migration tools. We’re confident these new features and enhancements will be extremely helpful in driving a better customer experience overall, with increased productivity and automation. Below is a taster of what you and our customers can expect but check out the detailed What's New Datasheet for further information. Extended import capabilities to automate your accounting tasks | Now you can import vatable journals from spreadsheets or other systems! No more need to do manual processing after imports or to use developer built solutions for this purpose. Just mass produce them, make the adjustments you need in Microsoft® Excel and add them to your data in a couple of clicks. You can even create journals from scratch in Microsoft® Excel and import them into Sage 200! This is a long-awaited improvement which will save hours of manual data processing when it comes to importing external data to Sage 200. | Reduce the admin burden within your AP/AR processes | Take advantage of the new allocation date setting to adjust it to your business needs. Now you can choose to use the payment/receipt date as the default allocation date. You can apply this setting individually for each sales and purchase ledger. This will help you minimize manual entry errors and make sure you get your aging reports right. | Greater flexibility when it comes to managing warehouse or stock changes and updates | Be more productive when doing mass changes and updates to your stock items, especially around stock management settings. The new stock record export/import feature will enable you to mass update several stock record attributes on the fly, including minimum stock levels, default warehouses or even adding/deleting warehouse from stock records. By yourself, with no scripts or custom developments needed. | Improve the communication flow within your purchasing operations | With the new alert and notification engine, you can now share key messages with your purchase order staff to support with order simplification, making sure they get notified about important supplier details when processing purchase orders or returns. You can find this both on the browser user interface and on the traditional desktop UI. If you’ve been using the Sales ledger alerts, you’ll know what we are talking about and if you’re migrating from Sage 50, rest assured that your Sage 50 alerts will be migrated and available on Sage 200. | Enhancing your migration journey from Sage 50 to Sage 200 | Either because you need greater functionality, or you’re looking for a cloud solution to support your business growth, we’ve created a simple yet complete migration process to support your move from Sage 50 to Sage 200. You can move your data from Sage 50 with minimal downtime and disruption, ensuring business continuity and success. On this release, we increased some of our field sizes and adjusted our migration tool in order to ensure that your stock details, such as stock item description, part number and supplier stock codes are fully migrated to Sage 200. | Keep your runtime reports at hand and reprint them instantly, whenever you need | Runtime reports are a moment in time report, once run they cannot be rerun in the subsequent days. This means if you have a printer problem and you closed the screen, or your pc crashed or you just closed the report screen you can’t get that report back . Not anymore. For Bank reconciliation, Vat Return and Year End report where output mode is set to printer or preview, you’ll find a new onscreen prompt that will enable you to add a report copy to the spooler. So, free yourself from the fear of losing reports. | Enhanced usability in business critical processes | When managing previous year journal entries, you now have an additional printing option on your screen. This brings consistency across our user interface while providing you with a new handy function. | Automation & Simplicity – giving you more choice | The new API extensions open the door to a wider ecosystem of applications (ISV Solutions), increasing the services and automation work flows available, allowing you to connect your business and build a truly custom-made solution to meet your specific business's needs. Continued development and improvements to the Sage 200 API guarantees a more seamless sharing of data and process automation between Sage 200 and integrated applications, significantly enhancing the user experience. | Making Migrations work for you | Whether a customer has outgrown Sage 50 or is looking for greater customisation than Sage 200 Std can offer, we’ve created a new, simple migration process allowing customers to migrate from Sage 50 to either variants of Sage 200, plus migrations between the two variants of Sage 200 – and reverse, if a customer is downscaling. This new process will make the migration process quick and easy, whilst ensuring customers can continue to use the software you know and are familiar with; with minimal downtime or disruption, thus ensuring business continuity and a more simplistic, cloud accounting solution. Click here for more information about the migration process. | More flexibility within business monitoring and analysis (for Sage 200 Standard and Education only) | Sage 200 Standard or Education customers can now enjoy the power of some features which were exclusive of Sage 200 Pro edition. Specifically, they can now benefit from up to 20 analysis codes (previously limited to 5). Analysis codes provide an additional way of grouping and reporting on accounts, stock items, stock transactions, BOM records and sales and purchase documents. These are additional fields that they can add to their accounts and records, which will certainly open up new possibilities for their business analysis. |
