If you have two employee records with the same email address and you upload payslips to Sage HR Online Services, the following message appears:

[Employee name]

Employment record already exists ([Employee name and employee email address] 

This can occur when the same email address exists in another employee's record. Often this can be when an employee leaves your business but you re-employ them and create an employee new record with the same email address as their original record.

The simplest way to resolve this is by using a different email address for the employee's new record.

If you must use the same email address, follow the same resolution steps for Error: 'This email address is already in use'.
