Run the Nominal Activity report

View ledger account balances for a date range of your choice.

  1. Go to Reporting then More.
  2. Select Nominal Activity.
  3. Search for a transaction by entering the reference or value in the search box.
  4. Sort and filter the list as required.
     NOTE: Some options below only appear once you enter your Year End Date in Financial Settings. See Accounting Dates and VAT. 



    • From the Period list, choose one of the following options:

      This Month Produces the report for the current month.
      This Quarter Produces the report for the current quarter.
      This Year Produces the report for the current year.
      This Financial Year

      Defaults to 12 months, based on the day and month you entered for your Year End Date.

       NOTE: This produces the report for the current year regardless of the financial year.

      Last Month Produces the report for the previous month.
      Last Quarter Produces the report for the previous quarter.
      Last Year Produces the report for the previous year.
      Last Financial Year

      Defaults to 12 months for the last financial year, based on the day and month you entered for your Year End Date.

       NOTE: This produces the report for the current year regardless of the financial year settings.

      Custom Enter the report dates you want to run the report From and To.
    • To filter by Category, select More and then Category or Group
  1. Select Calculate.

 NOTE: To view the details of a transaction, click the relevant entry line. Click Back on your Internet browser menu bar to return to the report. 

Print or export the report

  1. Choose Export Summary or Export Detailed.
  2. Choose one of the following options:
  • CSV – The file downloads automatically to your Downloads folder, or you receive a prompt to save it
  • PDF – The PDF opens in a new window or tab. Open your internet browser file menu, then choose to either print or save the report

 NOTE: If the PDF document doesn’t open in a new window this may be because of blocked pop-ups. To change these settings our Pop-ups blocked when printing article will help you.
