There are a number of upcoming legislation changes for the Republic of Ireland. As a Sage Partner, it’s important you’re aware of these changes and have all of the information you need to hand, ensuring you can support customers and help them manage these changes. We’ve included a summary below, the landing pages will direct you to information to support you across our product range:

• Extension of the reduced rate for gas and electricity – On April 13 2022 the Irish Government announced a reduction in the rate of VAT on gas and electricity from 13.5% to 9%. This will now be extended to Tuesday 28 February 2023.
• Reduction in VAT for Newspapers & Health Product – From Sunday 1 January 2023, a new zero-rated VAT code will be introduced for Newspapers and Health products.
• Support for Agri-sector - On 1st January 2022, the Irish Government reduced the rate of VAT Flat-rate compensation percentage for Farmers to 5.5%, from 01 January 2023 it will be further reduced to 5%.
