Show or hide holidays on online payslips - Sage HR Online Services

Depending on how you use the holiday function in your software, you may wish to either show or hide holiday information on your online payslips.

The process to Hide or Show holiday information on your payslips is really easy.

 NOTE: Once enabled/disabled, it can take up to 24 hours for the changes to take effect when you preview the payslips within the portal. However, the changes show immediately when you view the payslips as a PDF.

Let's run through the steps now.

  1. In Sage 50 Payroll, click Company then Online Services Settings.
  2. Within your Online Services Settings, step 6 is Display holiday entitlement on payslips. If the button to the right of this step says:
    • Hide - Holiday is currently displayed on payslips. Click Hide to turn off holiday information for online payslips
    • Show - Holiday is currently hidden on payslips. Click Show to turn on holiday information for online payslips

When holiday information is hidden it no longer appears in the online preview of the payslip, it is also not shown if an employee exports a PDF of their payslip.

 NOTE: This will only apply to new payslips, not historical payslips.


Holiday in hours or days

Payslips in Sage HR show holidays in units. This is based on your holiday scheme settings in Payroll.

For example, if you set your holiday scheme in Payroll as a number of hours, the units value in Sage HR is the number of hours holiday. It's not possible to change the term Units in Sage HR to say anything else.
