Dear Partner,

We have been writing to you for some time now about the need to upgrade due to technology changes/retirements specifically relating to the licence server for TLS 1.0/1.1 which will no longer be accessible from 01 October 2022.

Significant notice of this change has been provided, with communications starting in early 2020. We appreciate all the hard work partners have undertaken to ensure that customers have taken the relevant steps to avoid disruption. Equally, we appreciate that some projects could be delayed, there could be resourcing issues or a host of other reasons why some customers may have not upgraded by the 30th September, however, this should be the exception.

Sage 200 checks for a valid licence daily, with a maximum 30 days of product use being permitted after the last successful check. To support customers with this safety net, we’d advise that you reach out to customers who have yet to take the necessary action and ensure they refresh their licence on 30th September. In the meantime, it’s important to keep working with these customers to complete upgrades and apply the updates we have provided before the deadline.

Additionally, we will be defining an exception process that will be available to partners from 17 October 2022 and not before. This will provide a further short extension in exceptional circumstances. You can find out more in our Partner FAQ.
